Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire - Untitled Review Show
Do... some people in this comments section think NC invented machine learning?
I love this movie and I love this review. I get why Doug dislikes it, and his critique holds wright. But thr visual aspect is just do damn metal.
I REMEMBER THIS MOVIE I DIDNT REMEMBER IT BEING T&J THO-
"If Burton did indeed sign on to do Batman Forever, do you think Superman Lives would've moved forward or still die in Development Hell, and if it DID move forward, who do you think would've directed it?" That I can answer. Batman Forever would've not affected Superman Lives production considering Tim Burton wouldn't sign on until 1997. At that time though in 1996, producer Jon Peters wanted Die Hard 2 director Renny Harlin as the director but Kevin Smith, and Nic Cage wanted Tim Burton for what he did on Batman and Cage wouldn't sign on board unless Burton directed it. Which Burton was opened to do following Mars Attacks being a flop. But before Cage was cast as Superman, Jon Peters claimed he wanted Sean Penn for Superman while Kevin Smith claimed he wanted his friend Ben Affleck for the part with Michael Rooker as Lex Luthor. So Superman Lives was always gonna happen, but it would've been a very different movie.
tge way rob delivers "you're a f****** moron" is classic.
In multiple scenes throughout Jack and the Beanstalk, there are scenes in the castle up in the sky that depict the 8-pointed star, the standing lion, and the eagle. I want to talk about these symbols but I'm in the middle of researching these symbols and I have a hard time making a concise report on these things because there's a lot of information but way too many people keep saying how the symbol of the eagle and the standing lion go back towards the 11th and/or the 12th century but the symbols of the standing lion and the eagle are much much much MUCH older than that.
Really enjoyed it. Thought it looked stunning. Didn't hit as hard as the first. Felt like the plot was happening to the characters, rather than being driven by the characters. A little too impressed with how clever it thinks it is.
Jack and the Beanstalk has some metaphors for events that happened in the real world. First of all...the story is over 5000 years old as in all of these events happened around 3000 B.C. There were people who preserved this story from the past as a legend because some bits & pieces did happen in real life. Now...in the past, there USED to be a kingdom up in the sky. It DID exist. For the part about the Giant. In the past, there used to be giants that originated in the caves. The witch was telling the truth regarding the giant's behavior and how it is a no no to be acting like that if one is living like a King in somebody's castle. Now check this out...the giants came from the caves that were located somewhere on Earth. There were magical beans somewhere on Earth that were able to grow into gigantic beanstalks that reached into the heavens. That IS how the giants were able to get up towards the heavens. They didn't fly. They climbed. The giants had no mechanical devices to transport themselves over there. They climbed! For the part about the witch being stomped and it got turned out that the witch was a robot. Its actually an automation. An automation is a type of mechanical device that functions on its own. Now check this out, in order to make an automation, the person has to be an incredibly intelligent, skilled, and diligent worker to construct an automaton. Next up, the person HAS to get a hold of certain types of materials like gears, nuts, bolts, strings, and cranks that's capable of being put together and actually sturdy enough to last for a lifetime. Whoever made the witch infused her with dark magic, mechanical parts that were CLEARLY NOT from the Kingdom, and extensive vast knowledge of where to put which part. Now...whoever made the automation is a huge mystery. Nobody knows. But in the end, the witch came to be and that is how she was ordering the giant around according towards whoever programmed the witch. The witch was infused with dark magic from the creator but the creator itself was never shown. One last thing regarding the person who sold those magic beans to Jack, that merchant is of Hebrew descent. The Hebrews/Jewish people existed around the world for a really long time. They place a real high value on education and have no problem teaching people about random things. Jack doesn't know the Hebrew merchant but the Hebrew merchant knows his name. How is that possible...? Anyways, the Hebrew merchant, he HAD to know about the Kingdom up in the sky. He HAD to know that there was a way to get up there through the use of the magical beans. If you're wonder why HE doesn't go over there, this is because the Hebrews are NOT built to put themselves in danger and taking risks. They would prefer to play it safe by using their intelligent brains to migrate themselves through a world where things are never permanent in the grand scheme of things. The Hebrew merchant probably found some magic beans that didn't grow from somewhere and he decided to keep it in order to sell it to somebody. It was awful for Jack go to through that not-so-pleasant ordeal of going towards some strange land for treasure but the Hebrew merchant was trying to help him out. The Hebrew merchant does not have much money because the people he surrounds himself with were not rich to begin with. In order to sell something to somebody, you have to have something worth selling and the somebody obviously needs to have gold or money to pay for it. Jack had none but he had the cow which was worth it for the Hebrew merchant because the Hebrew merchant could take the cow somewhere.
Garfield does look a lot better in this one. Same design, but better fidelity and more expressive animation. But yeah, it's astonishing how, once they knew they had Bill Murray on a contract, they knew they didn't have to try at all.
This movie in Latin American Spanish is so hilarious, and the songs are decent. One of my favorites childhood movies, still watching at 29 years old and crack up 😂
I flipped out of my seat when I saw Doug on HBO MAX
I loved this movie, I remember renting it at blockbuster and watching it over and over
70min movies need to be more common. Much more common.
Let's go with the coma theory...I think that makes the sequel more enjoyable
Sometimes general, awesome you’re getting old so quick eventually, you are going to have to retire sooner or later because I’m sick of complainers who trying to ruin something that people enjoy something that’s something you’re not enjoying just to make it to the state facts only for your opinions even I think you and like scream junkies are beating a dead horse. How am I getting the feeling that eventually you’re going to have to retire
This is genuinely one of the worst movies i have ever seen in my life
Is that the floor you’ve talking about because he because Simba you do realize that it was scars stupidity that he just like he let Simba go flee away scars spills the truth on as the last word saying he killed Mufasa that was basically scars downfall to begin with
Are you kidding me channel awesome are you nuts? Are you really that naïve about the lion King then why has this in this movie somehow inspired a whole thing so far in the past 30 years inspired a stage play in Broadway that is around the world that is around many countries around the world inspired a whole generation for spin offs, sequels, and spinoff series and pretty much a lot of actors are famous for it and one Disney’s strongest pretty much Disney’s famous most famous for and most of all is coming back in theaters for its 30th anniversary you tell us really you’re telling me this movie is not great and you’re suggesting it sucks. Are you really that unless your screen junkie is trying to beat a dead horse?
So would this count as a swing and a miss?
What's the title of the music playing at 30:07?
I really want you to review Happy Gilmore.
Me and my brother loved this movie as kids. I understand how stupid it is, and how disgusting it is to the legacy of Dr. Seuss but it holds a special place in my heart. I’ve referenced this film more times than I can count. To me, it is one of the greatest of all time. But I respect where you and everybody else is coming from.
The shut up Wesley was very unexpected and very appreciated
I would have loved to see more of Burtons Gotham, he just nailed the looks.
smiling friends is fine. its verrryy derivate. hard to enjoy sometimes because a lot little things just remind me of other stuff that gets distracting when trying to watch it as it's own unique thing.
Haven’t watched the movie yet and stopped about 3 and a half minutes into the video to be safe. It sounds as though anxiety is attempting to spare Riley some heartache by being what they are, even if in a controlling way. This sounds a lot like Joy’s journey in the first one. Joy was very controlling because she thought her emotion was top priority for Riley’s well being at first, and then had to learn a lesson about it wasn’t that simple, hence the importance of Sadness. Really looking forward to the movie
How did you sit on this movie for THIS LONG??? 😂
Speaking of the animated chipmunks movie, why haven’t we seen the review of that? ( and I don’t mean the live action remake.)
Free the january 6th protesters
Why would they do that to linkara😢
If this dancenumber was done today it would be Ghostbusters 2016.
My God! We listened to the soundtrack album so much, I don't think the CD works anymore 😅
54:09 that’s when dick realized he fucked up. Lol
I dont care what anyone says I luv this movie
That is the loudest a fart has ever played through my speaker in a room full of people.
Can you do a nostalgic critic version of *Inside Out 2* that will be the funniest shit of all time
For the 3rd movie my two leading ideas would be either Riley experiencing death for the first time (like a grandparent dying) and the new emotion could be grief (and nostalgia can come back) Or there is a very popular theory that Riley is adopted so maybe the 3rd movie could tackle that.
"Somebody make that canon!" second most funniest out of nowhere unimportan NC comment.
8:34 they should have sped up Mel’s voice clips, like they did in who framed Roger Rabbit. Because when you do, it doesn’t sound half bad.
